Station 5

The original Station 5 was designed by Architect Leslie I. Nichols A.I.A., and built in 1952 by Bernard & Lehr. Following the Loma Prieta earthquake, it was determined that the original Station 5 would need to be replaced since it was not up to seismic standards and the new building was completed in 1998. Fire Station 5 has the primary response areas of unincorporated North Fair Oaks, the City of Menlo Park, and the Town of Atherton. Station 5 responds to Redwood City as part of the County Closet Unit, Automatic Aid, and Move and Cover Agreement.

Staffed units at this station include Engine 5 with a captain and two firefighters, one being a qualified engineer. At least one of the three personnel is a licensed paramedic providing advanced life support services.
