Firefighting Apparatus and Emergency Response
The District operates a fleet of emergency vehicles to ensure a swift response to fires, rescues, and medical emergencies. The two main types of firefighting apparatus are:
Staffing and Deployment
To ensure rapid responses, the District staffs seven firehouses, each with at least one engine company of three firefighters. The District also operates:
Advanced Life Support & Emergency Medical Services
All fire engines, ladder trucks, and rescue squads are equipped with Advanced Life Support (ALS) equipment, with at least one paramedic on each crew. Other firefighters are trained as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
